I.
INTRODUCTION

The
demand for a platform solely dedicated to marketing has increased due to the
advancement in the internet technology and mobile computing. With the
ever-increasing number of users of internet, Advanced Marketing System is
developed on android to help businesses to reach out to people over the internet,
which is a part and parcel of daily life. This system ensures interaction from
a business end to the consumer end.

The
consumer has to provide his likes at the time of registration and which can be
modified later. The categories are widespread and include all walks of life.

This
system takes into consideration the interests of the users and sends them
updates accordingly. This proves to be the most effective way to connect with
the intent users. This ensures that no person gets updates on things that are
not according to his likes.

It basically automates the process
of marketing. It is a pervasive system which allows a small start-up, a person
who offers utility services and an established business, to connect on the same
lines.

and broadcast files respectively. The application accesses the information from
the database.

IV.
EXISTING
V/S PROPOSED SYSTEM

The
existing approach for marketing is a manual process wherein a group of people
have to visit door to door to inform the users about their company by
distributing brochures or pamphlets.

Some
big companies use social media platforms to market their product.

The problems with the existing system
are:

1.
The existing system requires a lot
of manpower.

2.       A
lot of time is invested for physically going door to door.

3.       Printing
of resources for distribution involves cost.

4.       Distribution
of pamphlets or brochures is generic, it may include people who are not interested.

5.       Social
media is not an exclusive platform for marketing.

V.
PROPOSED
SYSTEM

A
dedicated platform for marketing is to be provided. This platform is pervasive
in nature.

The
application overcomes the problems in the current system in the following way:

1.
Human resource requirement is
totally eliminated as the application will share the files uploaded by the
business.

2.
The proposed model is timesaving as
the users from different locations can be
targeted without spending time in travelling.

3.
Printing of pamphlets for
distributing proves to be useless as majority of the users don’t read those
pamphlets. The application is cost-effective as it eliminates the cost of
marketing entirely.

4.
Targeting interested users is not
possible in case of the traditional method, whereas the application will
provide notifications only to the interested users.

5.
The proposed system provides
dedicated platform only for marketing.

VI.
METHODOLOGY

The
fundamental approach is based on the idea of sharing files amongst the two
users, namely business and end user and bridging the gap between the both in an
efficient and effective manner.

The
existing system allows only the users to access the static information. The
proposed system along with users provides the business a platform to showcase
their deals, special offers.

The
customer will provide his area of interest while registering. The customer will
be notified about the recent updates in his area of interest. A separate login
will be provided for business. The end user and the business user has to enter
their category of interest when they login for the first time and this
information is stored in the database.

The files
that are broadcasted will be saved on to the server for a duration of 24 hours
only.

XI.
CONCLUSION

The
heart of a business’ success lies in its marketing. The overall marketing
umbrella covers advertising, public relations, promotions and sales. Marketing
is a process by which a product or service is introduced and promoted to
potential customers. Traditional methods of marketing involve a cumbersome
process of physically distributing pamphlets which involve a lot of manpower
and capital. Nowadays, social media marketing is also used but it is not
dedicated. Thus, it became a motivation for developing this android
application.

A
dedicated platform is necessary to focus on intent customers. This system
provides a platform for the business users to exclusively focus on the user’s
likings or interests. This system is as good as distributing pamphlets but
digitally and also to the ones who are interested in a particular field.
