Hard work pays off – work beats talent any day, but if you’re talented and work hard, it’s hard to beat. Imagine you are in a place when music is the only thing you are really good at and you also really passionate about.school is not working out especially when you are in High school. But things are not working out for you even though you are giving your all ,you staying after school for extra help ,you trying to to do extra credit but grades are still low. At this point you are stress out you are in your breaking point so you decide to drop out you are done with high school so you could focus on something you are passionate about and that’s music. So months passes from the day you drop out and you have work on your music though those months and then a major record label is offering you a amazing record deal that could change your life for the better but the only thing that is stopping you to close the deal there’s a requirement that you don’t have is a require education level that the government want in new artist. Is it the students fault that he tried his best when he was in school or is it the government fault that the kid couldn’t go through because the education system is so old it hasn’t been changed for hundreds of years.the education system that we have today is base in the industrial meaning we teaching students how to work and be in a factory environment. Should The Government Have a Say in Education? The Government should not have a say who or not could be a famous artist because of that person’s level of education. But first thing’s first legally you don’t have to go school ,in fact, there’s a lot of alternative options available. If you are not legally go to school why is the government shouldn’t have to say who or not could be a famous artist because of the person’s education level. Instead of the government putting their noses on something that doesn’t have to do with them because they don’t like how some new growing artist are singing about drugs, sex, etc instead they should hows in office. Maybe the government should think over their requirements to become a president because whos in office has no type of history when it comes to politics. If the people could choose who should run this country the people should have the right who to support and listen to. As Benjamin Franklin said “Let us never forget that government is ourselves and not an alien power over us. The ultimate rulers of our democracy are not a President and senators and congressmen and government officials, but the voters of this country”. Arguments Opposing Music Topics One of the biggest arguments that some people have that the reason why it will be a good idea for new growing artist is to prevent this new artist to put out songs that talks about drugs, sex, money, and etc pretty much what a parent wouldn’t like their 7 year old child to listen to. Many parents, teachers, have complain, argue how explicit some lyrics could be and this been going on since early 90s. Not only is the government trying to say who should be a artist but they are also trying to censor some artist especially hip hop. Pretty much they are trying to limit rappers their freedom of speech. The definition of freedom of speech is someone has the right to say what they want especially political speech, expressive speech, and most types of commercial speech are protected under the First Amendment.Attempts at Censorship on Music Artists”Cuz everytime I write a rhyme, these people think it’s a crime to tell em what’s on my mind – I guess I’m a CRIMINAL.”Marshall mathers aka eminem has been having feud for past years with the government. Things got so serious that was brought to congress since Marshall Mathers LP came out. The year of 2002 Eminem addresses his thoughts of the government in the album ¨The Eminem Show¨ in the song called ¨White America¨. The title itself it speaks itself it primarily discusses racism in our country ,but particularly how the government feels about him expressing himself on his music. Lyrics ¨ I must’ve struck a chord, with somebody up in the office cause Congress keeps telling me I ain’t causin’ nothin’ but problems, and now they’re sayin’ I’m in trouble with the government, I’m lovin it. I shoveled sh*t all my life, and now I’m dumping it on.” Eminem multiple songs confronting them about how corrupt they really especially when bush was in office. Eminem is one of the few artist that the government tried to censor.
