to the American foundation of suicide prevention, suicide is one of the
leading causes of deaths in the United States. Suicide takes the lives of an
estimate of 43,000 Americans every year.
            What is Suicide and suicidal
behavior? Suicide is a complex issue with numerous amount of risks that should
not be taken lightly.  Suicide is the
intentional act or behaviors to commit one’s death. people who experience
suicidal behaviors and thought are in tremendous pain. They can be suffering
from being emotionally, physically, or sexually abuse by other or by
themselves.
            How many people committed
Suicide in Idaho? In Idaho the suicide rate has gone up 11% since 2011. Idaho
went from being the 9th to the 7th then to the 5th rank for suicide deaths in
the nation. In 2014 there was a 13% increase of suicide deaths in 2015. In
2015 there were 362 suicide deaths in Idaho
            What can cause Suicide and
Suicidal behaviors? There are many things that can cause suicide.  You can be diagnosis with depression,
bipolar disorder. Schizophrenia, anxiety, and personality disorders. substance
abuse can cause suicide and suicidal behaviors. childhood abuse can be a
common factor in suicide attempts. Having or being in a traumatic event.
Having family history of suicide. Having previous suicide attempts can lead
you to more attempts later down the road. having a chronic disease can be a
major risk factor in your life.
            What are the signs and
symptoms of Suicide and Suicidal behavior? The victim is making verbal suicide
threats such as; I won’t live to be 30 years old. They show Expressions of
hopelessness and helplessness. They do daring or risk-taking behavior. They’re
whole Personality changes. They become Depressed or manic depressed. They
start giving away prized possessions. They start lacking interest in their
future.
           
            What kind of treatments are
there for suicide and Suicidal behavior? The can seek Counseling or
professional help. They can take medication such as; antipsychotic,
antidepressants, and anti-anxiety. They can start Making life style changes
for themselves. They can avoid drugs and alcohol. They can start getting as
much exercise as possible. They can also try to get much needed sleep as they can
as well.

            What recourses are there for suicide
prevention? You can always call the 911 at any time. You can go to the nearest
hospital to get a medical evaluation done. If you live in the united states,
you can call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline There are two
other international organizations that can help you. if you live outside the
United States. These organizations are called Befriender worldwide and
International Association of Suicide Prevention.
